WHAT ARE WE OFFERING? 

The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Administration Officer to work in the Cancer Clinics & Infusions Unit to deliver a professional, confidential and efficient administrative service across our health sites. This role is central to the smooth operation of the service, providing front-line reception, patient admissions and discharge support, theatre administration, and medical records management, while ensuring a welcoming and responsive experience for patients, visitors and staff. 

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate patient information systems, supporting communication processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to build strong administrative capability within a dynamic healthcare environment, while upholding high standards of customer service, safety, and compliance with records management and workplace health and safety requirements.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE? 

You will………. 

  • Provide front-line reception services, including managing phone and in-person enquiries with a professional and customer-focused approach  
  • Coordinate patient admissions and discharges, ensuring accurate data entry and timely preparation of documentation  
  • Maintain and manage medical records, including preparation, filing, updating and retrieval of patient information  
  • Deliver administrative support such as word processing, report generation and data entry to support clinical services  
  • Support communication systems across the site, including paging, public address systems and coordination of internal information flow
