About the role
As an Administrative Services Officer, you’ll play a key behind-the-scenes role supporting the Genetics and Molecular Pathology (GMP) Directorate. Working closely with leaders and teams across SA Pathology, you’ll help keep people, information and processes running smoothly in a busy, purpose-driven environment that supports vital diagnostic services.
This is a varied and engaging role where no two days are the same. You’ll provide high-quality administrative support across recruitment, meetings, reporting, travel and finance, while also contributing to quality systems, accreditation activities and project work with internal and external partners. If you’re organised, enjoy building strong working relationships and take pride in supporting work that makes a real difference, this role offers a rewarding way to contribute every day.
About you
You’re a capable and organised administrator who enjoys supporting others and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You bring a positive approach, strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a busy office environment.
- Proven experience providing administrative support and delivering high-level customer service
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks, use initiative and meet priorities under general direction
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with staff at all levels, both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in office systems and tools including Word, Excel and related administrative processes
