About the role
As a Clinical Mammography Assessment Radiographer, you will deliver a high-quality, efficient and specialist range of clinical mammography assessment services and associated radiographic operations. Working in accordance with the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) requirements and BreastScreen Australia (BSA) National Accreditation Standards, you will play a critical role in supporting accurate diagnosis and best-practice patient care within a specialised clinical environment.
In this role, you will perform a range of complex interventional biopsy techniques and advanced assessment procedures, applying a high level of technical expertise, precision and attention to detail. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams to achieve optimal diagnostic outcomes for clients, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality standards and a respectful, patient-centred approach.
About You
You are a highly skilled and motivated mammography professional with specialist clinical expertise, strong leadership capability and a commitment to delivering high-quality, safe and patient-centred diagnostic services. Appointment and classification will be determined based on your skills, experience and qualifications at either AHP3 or PO3 level.

Qualifications and professional accreditation:
AHP3: Appropriate degree (or equivalent) with accreditation in Diagnostic Radiography and registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
PO3: Degree in Science with a Graduate Diploma in Mammography (or equivalent), and eligibility to hold a current licence under the SA Radiation Protection and Control Act 1982. -
Advanced clinical and technical expertise: Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of mammography imaging examinations, including complex interventional and biopsy procedures, applying specialised professional knowledge to select and adapt techniques to achieve optimal diagnostic outcomes.

Leadership, independence and collaboration: Proven capacity to work with a high level of professional independence under broad direction, including supervisory experience, effective participation in multidisciplinary teams, conflict resolution, and the ability to analyse complex clinical issues and contribute to the development, implementation and review of policies and standards.

Communication, governance and safety: Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal capability, and demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance, quality improvement, infection control, medico-legal responsibilities, WHS, and safe work practices within a specialised assessment mammography environment.
