About the Role:

Are you a committed and enthusiastic Registered Nurse looking to grow your career in the dynamic world of surgical nursing? The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking passionate Registered Nurses to join our dedicated team of Theatre Scrub/Scout professionals at Modbury Hospital.

Our modern perioperative suite at Modbury Hospital contains:

  • 4 operating theatres
  • 2 procedure rooms
  • 11 bay recovery unit

Modbury Hospital performs a variety of high volume and throughput elective surgeries such as Orthopaedics including Arthroplasties, Urology, General surgery, Plastic surgery, Breast surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Gastroenterology. This diverse caseload ensures a stimulating and varied working environment where no two days are the same.

Operating Monday to Friday with staff participation in an on‑call roster, our department fosters a supportive culture that encourages ongoing learning and professional development. We pride ourselves on providing an environment where your skills are valued and your growth is supported.

In addition, there are exciting opportunities to collaborate with the Lyell McEwin Hospital’s perioperative team. For nurses seeking to expand their clinical expertise, this partnership offers exposure to more complex elective, emergency and trauma surgeries. Flexibility to work across both sites may be required and provides excellent career‑broadening experience.

As a Registered Nurse in our Theatre Scrub/Scout unit, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include preparing the operating theatre, assisting surgeons and anaesthetists, and ensuring a sterile and safe environment throughout all procedures. In this role, you will work alongside a highly skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for every patient.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
