About the role: 

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager Oncology Clinical Trials, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Liaise with Facility Management and Biomedical Engineering staff for assistance e.g. appropriate maintenance of trial equipment
  • Assist in coordinating the sourcing and recording of trial data, including ensuring the maintenance of data quality and accuracy to audit standards
  • Support the implementation of new administrative, financial and records management, approaches, methodologies and techniques to enhance service delivery and business outcomes
  • Develop and maintain professional, effective and collaborative working relationships between all relevant work units and team members
  • Coordinate the attendance of other support staff/visitors e.g. interpreters, security, Sponsor representatives etc as required

About you:

  • Prior experience in hospital setting, with oncology and / or research experience
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point)
  • High level of competency in the use of computers, work processing and office administration processes and procedures
  • Resolve issues, meet deadlines under pressure, and effectively use work related resources and information
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively across a multi-disciplinary environment, including the capacity to communicate collaboratively with a range of staff and customers
  • Ability to contribute to support continuous improvement and business support, including assisting with policy development, analysis and review, evaluating work procedures, implementing new systems and accurately managing data in databases and information systems
