About the role
Role requires predominately courier duties using a work provided vehicle. Travel will be to sites around the lower Eyre Peninsula, based out of Pt Lincoln. There will be some minor pathology specimen handling and administration duties required as part of the role.
As a Pathology Collector, you will play an important frontline role in supporting the delivery of safe, accurate and efficient laboratory services. With comprehensive training and supervision provided, you will apply your developing skills and knowledge to a range of tasks including specimen collection support activities, specimen transport, sorting and labelling in accordance with established protocols, and assisting with clinical duties as required. Your attention to detail and commitment to following procedures will directly contribute to high-quality diagnostic outcomes for patients.
Reporting to the Regional Laboratory Manager, you will also be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to patients, referring clinicians, medical professionals and internal stakeholders. Working under close direction, this role offers a supportive environment where training is a key focus, providing you with the opportunity to build capability and confidence while contributing meaningfully to essential health services across the region.
