About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking enthusiastic and committed Administrative Support Officers to join our casual pool within Northern Mental Health. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a service that plays a vital role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our community.
As an Administration Support Officer, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that keeps the service running smoothly. Your work will directly support the delivery of high‑quality care by ensuring efficient, accurate and responsive administrative operations.
Stepping into the casual administrative relief pool means you’ll provide essential support across a variety of administrative roles. You will be rostered to help maintain seamless service coverage across the network.
In this role, you’ll manage key clerical tasks such as updating patient attendances, admissions, transfers and separations in our digital systems. You’ll apply strong administrative skills to support clinical teams, handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality, and contribute to the effective use of mental health resources. Your adaptability and reliability will be central to ensuring day‑to‑day operations run efficiently.
About You:
In this role you will bring a combination of practical skills and a positive, flexible mindset, including strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure; confident interpersonal and customer‑service abilities; adaptability, resilience and a proactive approach to change; effective problem‑solving and sound judgement; clear written and verbal communication, including professional phone etiquette; competence in numeracy, literacy and general clerical tasks; and proficiency with basic computing, Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
