About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and forward‑thinking Nurse Practitioner Candidate to join the Chest Pain Assessment Unit. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about advanced practice, thrives in fast‑paced environments, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient‑centred care.
As a Nurse Practitioner Candidate, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and follow‑up care for individuals presenting with chest pain. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to high‑quality clinical decision‑making, support patient flow, and enhance the overall patient experience. You will be supported by experienced Nurse Practitioners and medical staff as you develop your extended scope of practice through ongoing clinical exposure, postgraduate study and structured mentoring.
In this dynamic environment, your ability to remain composed under pressure, communicate clearly, and make sound clinical decisions will be essential. You will be actively involved in improving models of care, refining clinical protocols and contributing to service innovation.
To be eligible for this position, you will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Must be enrolled (or be eligible to enrol) in an NMBA approved program of study leading to endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.

- experience leading consumer engagement initiatives and supporting patient‑centred care
- minimum three years post‑registration experience, with advanced clinical practice in chest pain assessment and management
- experience developing policies, procedures and models of care in a clinical setting
- proven ability to supervise students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses or midwives
