About the role

The Service Development Consultant is responsible for the strategic development, service planning and implementation of projects with a primary focus on planning and developing health services that contribute to improving the health of children, young people and women in South Australia.

Key duties of the role

  • Assist in the development of a strategic planning initiatives and reforms that are developed, implemented, monitored and evaluated for WCHN
  • Project manage key projects / initiatives for WCHN including scoping, managing and implementation, such as White Ribbon Accreditation
  • Requesting and analysing data to measure against key performance indicators
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships which will enhance and influence service planning across the network
  • Promote a positive, customer-focused and values-driven workplace culture aligned with SA Health and Public Sector principles.

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in project management and planning involving both teamwork and individual effort.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning (including clinical service planning/reform initiatives), evaluation and policy development in the health sector.
  • Proven experience in leading, consulting and facilitating complex project work with service providers (including internal and external) and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with services, programs and/or staff and achieving optimal service outcomes
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to foster productive working relationships, both internally and externally
