Overview
In this pivotal role as the Regional Midwife Educator, you will leverage your clinical expertise to enhance nursing and midwifery education programs, including our Transition to Professional Practice Programs (TPPP) and other key initiatives.
Role Overview:
As a Midwife Educator, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of midwifery practice through:
- Education & Training: Design and deliver comprehensive education, training, and learning experiences to support new nursing and midwifery programs.
- Program Support: Develop and provide educational resources tailored to specific wards, units, community programs, or individual nurses/midwives.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure alignment of educational practices with policies and contribute to a safe, positive work environment that enhances patient and client outcomes.
- Project Leadership: Lead and coordinate projects, programs, and research to achieve improved educational outcomes and/or service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educational Support: Deliver targeted education and training to various groups, enhancing skills and knowledge in alignment with professional standards.
- Coordination & Leadership: Oversee specific education portfolios or programs, driving improvements and innovations in educational practices.
- Accountability: Take responsibility for the outcomes of educational initiatives, addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, with at least 3 years post registration experience.
