About the role

The Interagency Therapeutic Panel Coordinator manages a panel supporting children in guardianship with complex trauma. The role coordinates referrals, meetings, and data, ensures collaboration across services, and supports integrated therapeutic responses and outcome monitoring.

Key duties of the role

  • Develop and implement a trauma informed framework to ensure appropriate therapeutic interventions are identified and co-ordinated
  • Develop and implement a partnership model to address the therapeutic care needs of children in out of home care.
  • Triage case review requests to identify the urgency of response and prioritise Panel reviews as necessary.
  • Facilitate the collection and analysis of comprehensive referral information for both individuals and families.
  • Provide clinical expertise on child development needs and the impact of trauma on mental health and wellbeing for all children and young people.

Skills and Experience

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; OR
  • Appropriate degree of equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, OR
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification as recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia. Must hold general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Clinical experience in the management of complex child protection matters.
  • Experience in providing case management and/or mental health interventions to children in out of home care, using a trauma informed framework.
