About the role
Join the Food and Environmental Laboratory at SA Pathology as a Medical Scientist MeS-2 and play a hands-on role in protecting public health. You’ll apply scientific expertise to deliver routine and specialised diagnostic testing, contributing to accurate analysis, clear reporting and trusted outcomes for clients and clinicians.
Working under the guidance of the Section Head, you’ll help shape methods and quality practice, support staff training and share knowledge across the lab. This role offers variety, technical depth and the chance to grow specialist skills while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients and partners in a dynamic testing environment.
About You
You’re a skilled and confident Medical Scientist ready to make an impact in a dynamic laboratory environment. You combine technical expertise with strong problem-solving and teamwork to deliver accurate, high-quality results.
• Hold a recognised degree in pathology or accredited medical science
• Apply advanced laboratory testing and quality control knowledge
• Lead and support teams while managing workflow under pressure
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
