You will use pharmacy management and hospital software systems to process prescriptions, maintain ward imprest levels, manage stock transfers and conduct stocktakes, ensuring no expired or recalled stock remains in circulation. Our pharmacy assistants are based across our three sites at Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital and the Repat Health Precinct at Daw Park. A rotation is in operation offering staff the opportunity to work in all areas of our service including dispensary, clinical services and production.
In this senior capacity, you will assist with organising daily workflows, allocating tasks and supporting rosters for pharmacy assistants, graduates and students, providing technical guidance and skill development across the team. You will contribute to inventory control, procurement processes and audit practices, assist with PBS claiming and billing, respond to enquiries with professionalism and confidentiality, and help maintain a safe, clean and well-resourced dispensary environment. With opportunities to participate in quality assurance, environmental monitoring, courier and medication delivery duties, and cross-site collaboration via teleconferencing, this role offers variety, responsibility and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to safe and effective patient care.
