Step into a hands on Spinal Fellow role within a high performing unit. You will deliver supervised inpatient and outpatient care, support safe after hours cover, and grow teaching and quality skills while working closely with senior consultants and a strong multidisciplinary team.
Key duties
• Deliver day to day inpatient and outpatient spinal care with consultant support • Manage after hours roster and support urgent clinical needs • Lead junior doctors to lift safe, high quality practice • Build and run clinical review programs and prepare reports • Liaise with wards, theatre, ED, pathology and radiology • Support referrals, transfers, admissions and discharges • Teach registrars, interns and contribute to postgrad programs • Engage patients and families with clear, caring communication
About You
You are a motivated doctor ready to step into a Spinal Fellow role and thrive in a busy tertiary setting, bringing sound judgement, clear communication and a genuine commitment to patient care and teaching.
• MBBS or equivalent with current AHPRA registration • Postgraduate training in spinal surgery or neurosurgery • Strong clinical skills suited to supervised spinal practice • Proven ability to guide and support junior medical staff • Clear communicator who builds trust with patients and teams
