We invite you to join our supportive and dynamic Podiatry team at Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN), Clare.
As a Podiatrist at YNLHN, you will get the opportunity to work with a clinically diverse case load from paediatrics through to inpatient, outpatient, NDIS, high risk, biomechanics, telehealth and residential care.
We value peer support and clinical supervision and ensure this is embedded in practice for all our staff. YNLHN Podiatrists are given the opportunity to develop independent working skills as well as being connected to a team with wide ranging interests and experience.
You will get opportunities to:
- See the sites across the YNLHN area, through providing regional outreach clinics
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to find solutions to complex clinical needs, supporting positive consumer outcomes.
- Develop skills across all aspects of podiatry including high risk foot care, paediatrics, biomechanics, residential care, outpatient clinics and inpatients.
- Participate in ongoing service provision and improvement projects
- Contribute to the profession through student placements and projects, and work experience opportunities.
- Opportunities to engage in ongoing professional development
What you'll bring
It is expected that candidates will hold a recognised qualification within the Podiatry profession and be eligible for full membership of the relevant Professional Association and be registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia, and meet the Board's registration standards and requirements.
About Yorke and Northern Local Health Network
The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network encompasses the Yorke Peninsula, significant areas of the Mid North and Spencer Gulf, Southern Flinders Ranges and the Clare Valley. Its major urban centres are Port Pirie, Clare, Burra, Peterborough, Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo.
Port Pirie Regional Health Service is the largest hospital in the region, providing emergency, acute inpatient, specialist surgical, maternal, neonatal, renal dialysis, outpatient and community health services.
A chemotherapy unit delivers medium-risk cytotoxic treatments. Clare Hospital and Health Services and Northern Yorke Peninsula Health Service (Wallaroo) are medium sized sites which support the region by providing emergency, acute inpatient care, surgical, maternal and neonatal, low-risk chemotherapy, outpatient and community health services.
Clare and Port Pirie also provide residential aged care and Wallaroo has recently commissioned a rehabilitation service.
Clare Valley and the Lower Northern Region
Internationally renowned for its premium wines, gourmet food and breathtaking scenery, the Clare Valley, only two hours north of Adelaide, is a gorgeous tourist hub in the Mid North of South Australia. Uniquely nestled between prime grazing country and rolling hills, the Clare Valley is a charming string of wineries, hamlets, and pristine farmlands steeped in history and home to some of Australia’s best-known vignerons.
The largest health service for this region is based in Clare, with outreach provided to Burra, Snowtown, Balaklava and Riverton (max 40min drive from Clare).
