Overview

Join the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) CenSTaR Assistant in Nursing Candidate Pool, and contribute to caring for residents and patients across various YNLHN facilities.

Step into a rewarding Assistant in Nursing role where your support makes a real difference every day.  Working alongside Enrolled and Registered Nurses, you'll assist with personal care, basic clinical tasks, and help prepare for procedures while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment.

You'll play a key role in creating a positive, respectful experience for residents and clients, contributing to both their physical wellbeing and a culturally safe setting.  With guidance from a collaborative care team, you'll follow established standards and protocols while building your skills in a supportive healthcare environment.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible to apply, you must be:

  • Enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or midwifery and have completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level; OR
  • Employed on the basis that the person is, or will be, undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled Nurses; OR
  • Hold a Certificate III or IV in one of the following health related disciplines:
    • Basic Health Care;
    • Aged Care;
    • Health Services Assistance: (Qualifications to include elective units recommended for AIN Acute care);
    • Home and Community Care;
    • Individual Support Work;
    • Or such other nationally recognised courses approved within the healthcare setting by full agreement of DHA and the ANMF
