About the Role
As Research Director, you will lead the development and delivery of a strategic research agenda that strengthens pharmacy practice and improves patient outcomes across SA Health. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping a strong research culture, building partnerships with academic, industry and health sector stakeholders, and ensuring research priorities align with the South Australia Health and Medical Research Strategy.
Working closely with senior leaders, pharmacy directors and external partners, you will guide a work plan of strategic research projects that generate new evidence and translate findings into practice. You will also oversee student placements, research governance, funding opportunities and research training pathways, while mentoring emerging researchers and positioning SA Pharmacy as a leader in medication management innovation.
About You
You are a strategic pharmacy leader with a passion for advancing research, strengthening capability and improving patient outcomes across complex health systems.
• Degree in Pharmacy and registration with the Pharmacy Board
• Senior leadership experience in healthcare or pharmacy services
• Proven ability to lead research, change and complex projects
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influence skills
