WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?
Join the Adelaide Hills Medical Unit (AHMU) as a Consultant General Physician, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across multiple sites including Mount Barker, Gumeracha and Strathalbyn. In this dynamic role, you will assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of medical presentations, working closely with Emergency Departments, GPs and community services. You will play a key role in ensuring timely patient reviews, clear clinical decision-making and effective discharge planning, while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the medical ward and participating in an on-call roster.
As a senior clinician, you will provide strong clinical leadership and foster a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, supporting and mentoring junior medical staff alongside nursing and allied health teams. You will actively contribute to quality improvement, teaching, research and accreditation activities, ensuring care is delivered in line with SA Health policies and best practice standards. HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

- Deliver high-quality inpatient and ambulatory medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, discharge planning and ongoing patient review within a multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise and support junior medical staff, while contributing to teaching and training across undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs.
- Actively participate in service development, quality improvement initiatives, governance activities and hospital committees.
