About the Role
Be the welcoming face and organised backbone of the ward. You’ll manage daily admin flow, build strong links with clinical teams, create accurate patient records and maintain smooth ward operations in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Duties:
- Provide front desk reception within the ward, acting as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, and facilitating communication with clinical staff
- Coordinate and support the day-to-day administrative operations of the ward
- Liaise with nursing and medical staff for bed allocation
- Prepare and maintain patient records with accuracy
- Order and manage ward stock via Oracle system
- Respond to enquiries from patients, families and staff
- Support team collaboration across departments
About You
You’re organised, approachable and ready to keep a busy ward running smoothly. You bring strong admin skills, sound judgement and a calm, caring approach when working with patients, families and clinical teams.
- Communicate clearly with patients, staff and public
- Prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines in busy settings
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and booking systems
- Enter data accurately and handle confidential information
- Work well in teams and use initiative with minimal supervision
