We are seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our Theatre Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership, supporting high-quality surgical services in a regional healthcare setting.
About the Role
As an ANUM, you will provide proficient, person-centred perioperative nursing care while supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the theatre service.
You will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality care, while mentoring staff and contributing to a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality clinical care within the Theatre Department
- Provide shift leadership and support patient flow
- Assist the NUM with rostering, staffing and service coordination
- Support education, mentoring and supervision of staff and students
- Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
- Assist with clinical governance, audits and service development
Who We’re Looking For
You are a confident clinician ready to step into a leadership role.
You will bring:
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Minimum 3 years post-registration experience
- Experience in theatre, recovery or day surgery nursing
- Strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to safe, patient-centred care
