About the Role

As a Registered Nurse / Midwife (or dual classification), you will provide compassionate and specialised care for women and pregnant people undergoing first and second trimester terminations. Your responsibilities will include conducting pre-termination consultations for both medication and surgical options, as well as offering aftercare services to ensure the best outcomes for clients. You will play a critical role in providing direct nursing care, particularly for clients undergoing second trimester terminations, both pre- and post-operatively.

By joining our specialised team you will be providing supportive, patient centred care. You will deliver consultations, guide care pathways, build trusted relationships and support patients through treatment and recovery.

• Provide consults on care options and support informed choice
• Deliver pre and post operative clinical care
• Assess, plan and review patient progress
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and external services
• Support students and enrolled nurses as required

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse / Midwife to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Registration with the Nursing / Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility to register, with a current practising certificate.
  • Proven ability to provide comprehensive care, support clients from diverse backgrounds, and assess staff competence while promoting team learning.
  • Experience in person-centred care for women and pregnant people, with a strong background in perioperative and clinical settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, nursing standards, quality improvement, and aseptic techniques to ensure the highest level of care.

You’re must be a capable nurse who delivers safe care, supports others and thrives in a collaborative, patient focused environment.

• Registered nurse with AHPRA registration and practising certificate
• Deliver safe care using clinical standards and sound judgement
• Communicate clearly and build respectful relationships
• Assess capability and delegate care with confidence
• Bring perioperative or acute care experience
