Overview:

The Principal Contract Manager is responsible for:

  • Initiating and coordinating contract management practices and processes related to the Non-Government Organisation (NGO) sector ensuring value for money is realised, contracts deliver the required outcomes and risks are appropriately managed across the Department for Health and Wellbeing.
  • Developing relationships and working in partnership with the Non-Government Organisation (NGO) sector to ensure contracted services are managed in line with State Government and Departmental Contract Management frameworks, policies and procedures.
  • Significantly contributing to the implementation of SA Government reform initiatives ensuring that state-wide contracted health services achieve and maintain high quality services.
  • Contributing as an integral team member of the Commissioning and Performance Division contributing to the Division’s Business Plan and leadership team.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

  • Tertiary qualification in health or business-related discipline(s).
  • Completion of the Procurement SA Procurement or Contract Management training or a similar program provided by a registered training provider.
  • An understanding of the other Government and non-Government health related agencies, funding programs and activities.
