  • Salary  RN-3   $130,190 - $136,010 p.a. (pro rata) + super + salary packaging
  • Permanent part-time working 36 hours per week

The Heart & Lung Nurse Manager role is a self directed role which utilises clinical knowledge and experience to provide support services to both Nurse Unit Managers and Nurse Leads in areas including but not limited to staffing methodologies, recruitment and selection, human resource management, financial administration, patient flow, bed and resource management, accreditation and risk management processes and information systems management. The Nurse Manager works across campus at both the Royal Adelaide Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

About the Role

Lead and support nursing teams while shaping safe, efficient, patient-focused services. You’ll manage resources, build staff capability, and create processes that improve outcomes and foster a positive work culture.

  • Oversee staff allocation, patient flow and operational management
  • Support recruitment, rostering, and workforce development
  • Manage projects, programs and service improvement initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with policies, risk standards and safety
  • Build collaborative relationships across teams and partners

About You

You are an experienced and confident Nurse Manager who leads with integrity, fosters staff potential, and drives safe, high-quality care. You bring strong clinical knowledge, management expertise, and professional registration to make a real impact.

  • Hold registration or eligibility with current practising certificate
  • Lead teams with effective communication, problem solving and negotiation
  • Manage projects, change initiatives and workforce priorities
  • Apply knowledge of legislation, standards, ethics and quality systems
  • Promote innovation, staff development and consumer-focused care
