Our Allied and Community Health Teams are multi-disciplinary professionals united by a common goal: improving health outcomes for our community. Based in Port Augusta and Whyalla, we also deliver care through regular outreach clinics in Roxby Downs, Quorn, Hawker, Marree, and Leigh Creek. We provide a wide range of centre-based, in-home, and community-based services for people of all ages, tailoring care to meet individual needs. Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Whyalla
About the Role:
As the Nursing Director - Community & Allied Health, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across community nursing and midwifery services within FUNLHN. Reporting to senior executive leadership, you will be accountable for governance, practice standards and the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services that support strong patient and community outcomes.
In this role, you will lead the development and evaluation of contemporary models of care, support workforce planning and performance, and drive service improvement initiatives. You will work closely with key stakeholders to implement policy, manage projects and respond to emerging service needs, while fostering a patient-centred culture and strong multidisciplinary collaboration. You will also contribute to education, research and innovation, supporting a skilled, engaged workforce and continuous improvement across the service.
About You:
- You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- You must be a registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 5 years post registration experience. Experience as a leader or manager in the health care industry.
- You must have experience in managing and leading teams.
- You must have experience in leading services or organisations through times of extensive change.
- You must have experience in applying contemporary management processes and practices in a health care setting.
- You must have experience in leading quality improvement initiatives in health care settings.
- You must have experience working with First Nations consumers.
Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
