We are also committed to advancing teaching and research, ensuring that our practices reflect the latest in medical knowledge and care.

Your journey will include formally scheduled sessions and hands-on exposure to a variety of complex paediatric cases, including child protection issues, developmental challenges through the Child Development Unit, paediatric psychiatric conditions, and rehabilitation. You’ll gain insights into environmental factors affecting child health, such as nutrition and trauma care, while being prepared for the urgent needs of acutely ill children, including neonates, as part of the Medstar Retrieval team.
Join us in making a significant impact on the lives of children and families in our community while advancing your medical career in a supportive and dynamic environment!
Key Responsibilities:

- Use diagnostic services with discretion while understanding ethical and legal issues in medical practice.
- Develop procedural skills for independent practice and manage patients under supervision.
- Notify senior staff of significant changes in patient conditions.
- Encourage thorough documentation in medical records and ensure your own documentation meets standards.
- Provide emotional support to patients’ families and maintain communication with the healthcare team.
- Continuously update and extend your medical knowledge through clinical meetings and personal study.
