About the role
Join SA Dental, part of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network, as an Administration Officer within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at the Adelaide Dental Hospital, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality dental services across South Australia. Efficient frontline reception and administrative support role for the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Unit. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialist surgical unit of SA Dental, the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Adelaide University. In this dynamic and rewarding position, you will provide efficient and responsive administrative support, acting as a key point of contact and fostering strong customer liaison between the Adelaide Dental Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital and the University of Adelaide. Working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team—including nurses, medical and dental practitioners, dental assistants and fellow administration staff—you’ll contribute to a collaborative environment focused on patient-centred care, while also building professional relationships with SA Health and a range of government and non-government stakeholders. Reporting to the Unit Manager and supporting the Director of the department, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and professional healthcare setting.
About You
We’re seeking a proactive and organised Administration Officer who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering excellent administrative support and patient-focused service.
- Proven ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Demonstrated experience providing high-quality administrative support, including developing and maintaining effective systems and using Microsoft Office programs
- Strong experience working with a diverse range of patients or clients, with an understanding of supporting individuals through the healthcare journey
- Previous exposure to healthcare settings (dental or medical) and familiarity with relevant systems, terminology or policies will be highly regarded
