Quorn Health Service is a 41-bed facility, including 11 acute beds and 30 aged care beds, proudly serving the Flinders Ranges region. As part of the Flinders Ranges Multi-Purpose Service (MPS), we provide accident and emergency care, general and surgical services, and residential aged care. Our dedicated team plays an integral role in supporting the health and wellbeing of residents - offering companionship, encouraging independence, and maintaining vital connections with family, friends, and the local community to enrich quality of life. Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Quorn

 

About the Role:

As a Facility Services Officer, you will provide hands-on maintenance and facilities management services, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of buildings, plant and equipment. You will coordinate contractors, manage maintenance programs and support asset management activities, including scheduling, testing and compliance.

In this role, you will prioritise maintenance tasks, undertake repairs and oversee contractor work to ensure it meets required standards and regulations. You will manage asset records, monitor budgets, and contribute to planning and preventative maintenance programs. You will also play a key role in supporting safety systems, including fire safety and emergency planning, while maintaining facilities, equipment and outdoor areas to a high standard.

 

About You:

  • You must have experience in the use of computers and applications/programs.
  • You must have experience in the evaluation, selection and purchase of plant and equipment, experience in reading and working to technical drawings.
  • You must have previous experience in building maintenance or engineering field.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B (indirect contact with blood or body substances)
