  • Role will primarily work from Karoonda however will be required to also work in the Lameroo and Pinnaroo areas

About the Role:

Join a collaborative nursing/midwifery team where you will deliver high-quality care across a range of health service settings while continuing to grow your clinical expertise. In this role, you will be accountable for your own practice and contribute to the development and support of less experienced staff, helping to ensure safe, consistent, and patient-centred care. Working closely with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, you will also assist with leadership and operational responsibilities, including coordinating care, supporting practice improvements, and contributing to staffing and service management activities within a dynamic clinical environment.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA and hold a current practising certificate.
  • At least 3 years’ post-registration experience (or equivalent Clinical Nurse/Midwife classification) with demonstrated competence in clinical practice.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, work independently, and demonstrate flexibility, innovation, and sound judgement in clinical settings.
  • Experience in supervising staff/students and knowledge of legislation, quality improvement systems, and contemporary nursing/midwifery practice.

Desired Criteria 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing or a related human services discipline, with additional practice-specific qualifications where applicable.
  • Experience in quality improvement and applying nursing research to enhance clinical practice and outcomes.
  • Strong teamwork and computer skills, with knowledge of the South Australian Public Health System considered advantageous.
