About the role:
- To provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to clinical pharmacology patients of SALHN, both in terms of individual performance and by contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care.
Duties for the role will include:
- Commitment to delivering high-quality and safe care consistent with the SALHN Integrated Governance Framework and Consumer Engagement Framework and Plan.
- In the provision of therapeutic drug monitoring and toxicology services by the Department of Clinical Pharmacology for SA Pathology, including the interpretation and reporting of drug assay and toxicology results.
- Ambulatory care settings such as outpatient clinics (e.g., hypertension and endocrinology clinics) and clinical trial units (Southern Oncology Clinical Research Unit, SOCRU).
- Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture that is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.
- Undertaking training as required to attain and maintain the required competency of skills and knowledge applicable to the role.
About you:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
- FRACP part 1 exam.
- Ability to undertake training in and participate in activities determining policies relating to the use of medicines.
- Ability to undertake training in and contribute to clinical research.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
