WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

SA Health is seeking a Nurse Manager - Infection Prevention & Control to join the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. In this leadership role, you will provide expert support for all six regional local health networks nursing leaders across infection prevention and control, sterilisation services, accreditation, risk management, and clinical governance.

You will lead the regional Infection Prevention and Control Advisory Forum to support implementation of evidence-based infection prevention strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices while promoting patient safety and continuous quality improvement. Strong knowledge of Infection Control Standards, guidelines, and practices is essential.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

You will……….

  • Develop and maintain regional LHN infection prevention and control procedures and manuals.
  • Manage, collate, and support analysis and reporting of regional healthcare associated infections (HAI) surveillance data.
  • Support the regional Infection Prevention and Control Leads Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in service management, multidisciplinary coordination, problem-solving, and change management processes.
  • Participate in education and mentoring, including clinical teaching, infection control training, and fostering professional development for students and less experienced staff.
  • Engage in research, quality improvement, auditing, and infection control initiatives to ensure evidence-based, safe, and high-quality patient care
