About the Role
Join DonateLife SA and play a pivotal role in supporting organ and tissue donation across South Australia. As a Donation Specialist Nursing Coordinator, you will provide expert clinical leadership and coordinate the end-to-end donation process, working closely with hospital teams, donor families and key stakeholders to ensure best practice care and positive outcomes for donors and recipients.
In this rewarding role, you will identify and support potential donation opportunities, coordinate complex clinical and logistical processes, deliver education and awareness initiatives, and contribute to statewide quality improvement programs. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will build strong partnerships across the healthcare system while helping individuals and families make informed decisions that leave a lasting legacy.
About You
You are a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse who thrives in a complex clinical environment. You bring strong leadership, communication and coordination skills, along with a commitment to supporting patients, families and healthcare teams through the organ donation process.
• Registered Nurse with NMBA registration or eligibility
• Experience in organ donation nursing practice
• Lead complex cases and support multidisciplinary teams
• Build trusted relationships with families and stakeholders
• Drive education, change and quality improvement initiatives
