Your Role in Our Midwifery Group Practice
As Associate Midwife Unit Manager within the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), you will support the day-to-day operational and clinical leadership of the team, working closely with the Midwife Unit Manager to maintain safe, woman-centred continuity of care. This is a part-time, ongoing position based in a community where your work has direct and visible impact.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to midwives within the MGP model, promoting continuity of carer principles
- Assist in coordinating rostering, workload management, and operational workflow across the unit
- Champion quality improvement and contribute to policy, procedure, and guideline review
- Act as a key liaison between the MGP team, obstetric services, and broader multidisciplinary networks across Yorke and Northern LHN
What You Bring
- Current registration as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience in a Midwifery Group Practice or continuity of care model
- Proven ability to support, mentor, and guide a midwifery team in a clinical setting
- Sound understanding of the SA Health policy frameworks and standards relevant to maternity services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to a regionally dispersed care environment
- Experience in or readiness to contribute to quality and safety processes within a Local Health Network
