SALHN is looking for an Asset Manager to lead the lifecycle management of our built assets, drive project portfolio governance, and improve the way we work all within one of South Australia's largest and most dynamic health networks.
About the role:
The Asset Manager is accountable to the Strategic Asset Manager for the governance, performance, and lifecycle management of SALHN's built assets, while driving continuous improvement across operational processes and project portfolio delivery.
What you'll do:
- Own the full asset lifecycle; from acquisition through to disposal; ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, and performing.
- Lead our Minor Works Capital Program and PPM framework, keeping projects on time, on budget, and on scope.
- Drive real workflow improvement; mapping processes, cutting inefficiencies, and implementing automation that actually sticks.
- Partner with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to align infrastructure investment with SALHN's strategic priorities.
- Lead a small, capable team and contribute to a high-performance culture built on accountability and innovation.
About you:
- Proven experience in asset management, PPM, or facilities operations within a complex environment
- Hands-on knowledge of asset lifecycle principles, CMMS/EAM systems, and project governance frameworks
- A continuous improvement mindset — Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies are a plus
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to navigate a large, politically complex organisation
- Experience in the SA health system or built environment is highly regarded
