About the Role

Make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of people in custody by delivering advanced primary healthcare across SA Prison Health Services. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work with a high level of autonomy to assess, diagnose, treat and coordinate care while supporting positive health outcomes across metropolitan and regional correctional settings. Clinics are delivered across a variety of metropolitan and country prison locations, offering a diverse and rewarding scope of practice.  Country travel and overnight stays are required as part of the role.

• Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment
• Manage chronic, complex and acute health conditions
• Prescribe medicines and coordinate patient care
• Deliver virtual and face-to-face healthcare services
• Lead service improvement and evidence-based practice

About You

You are an experienced Nurse Practitioner who combines advanced clinical expertise with a passion for delivering accessible, person-centred healthcare.

• Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with current NMBA registration
• Advanced primary healthcare and clinical assessment skills
• Lead care planning and complex case management
• Build strong partnerships across multidisciplinary teams
• Drive quality improvement and evidence-based practice
