- Full-time temporary
Duration of the training program: 12 months from 1/2/27 - 30/1/28
Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement
At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract.

About the Role
As a Urology Service Registrar at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality urological care. You'll be actively involved in the assessment and management of patients presenting with acute urological conditions via the emergency department, community referrals, and other hospital services. The role also includes responsibility for timely inpatient reviews and participation in the on-call urology registrar roster, with strong support from the on-call consultant team.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical and surgical expertise in a supportive and highly skilled team. You will have designated outpatient and supervised theatre sessions, with a focus on developing core surgical competencies and preparing for your Urology Surgical Education and Training (SET) application. You’ll also contribute to teaching junior medical staff and undertake a surgical research project, positioning you for future career advancement in the field of urology.
About You
You are a motivated and collaborative medical professional with a genuine interest in urology and a commitment to high-quality patient care. Your strong communication skills and clinical insight support effective teamwork and patient outcomes in a dynamic hospital setting.

Hold a medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) and General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

Bring experience in assessing and managing urological conditions, with exposure to acute presentations.

Possess excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care.

Demonstrate adaptability, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
