What You'll Be DoingBased at Modbury Hospital within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, you'll deliver evidence-based nursing care across a busy inpatient rehabilitation setting. These are full-time, short-term contract positions through to 16 July 2027. Your day-to-day will include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised patient care within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
- Supporting patients through recovery pathways focused on restoring function and maximising independence
- Accurate clinical documentation and handover in line with NALHN standards and SA Health policy
- Contributing to a safe ward environment through consistent application of infection control and patient safety protocols
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience in an acute, rehabilitation or related inpatient nursing environment
- Sound understanding of person-centred care and goal-directed rehabilitation principles
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with SA Health clinical documentation systems or willingness to build this quickly
- Commitment to the NALHN values of care, respect, and integrity in all patient interactions
To be eligible for this position, you must be Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

NALHN provides a range of hospital (inpatient), outpatient, community and home-based services across multiple sites in Adelaide’s north and north-eastern suburbs, including Aboriginal health, mental health, and GP services.
Lyell McEwin Hospital – the major hospital in northern Adelaide for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetric, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital – a general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
