About the Role:

• Provide clinical services of the highest standard in the Emergency Department across a 24/7 roster
• Work with limited or no direction, exercising a high degree of professional judgment and clinical competence in a multi-disciplinary setting
• Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day management of the clinical floor
• Respond to hospital MET/Code Blue/Code Black calls as required by allocation on shift
• Provide supervision, training, and direction to more junior staff as needed
• Participate in teaching and quality assurance activities, while also engaging in health promotion and community education initiatives

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

• Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
• Must hold a specialist qualification with the following colleges - RACGP, ACRRM and ACEM and be registrable as a specialist with AHPRA
• Granted specialist registration by the medical board for relevant specialty e.g. G/P, ACEM.

Desired Criteria 

• Teamwork & Leadership: Ability to work effectively, flexibly and constructively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Clinical Experience: Broad experience across medical fields relevant to emergency medicine and diverse clinical settings.
• Diverse Patient Care: Experience working with diverse populations, including Indigenous, culturally and linguistically diverse, and mental health clients.
