About the role
As a Technical Officer, you’ll bring your technical expertise and sound judgement to support important research, operational and project programs within SA Pathology. You’ll take ownership of technical tasks, work independently and, where required, lead minor projects while ensuring equipment, procedures, processes and results meet the required standards.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team, working closely with pathology staff, clinicians, clients and external partners to support quality testing, specimen management and blood product supply. With opportunities to apply your experience, provide technical recommendations and guide others, you’ll make a valued contribution to safe, effective pathology services and the community we serve.
About You
We’re looking for a technically skilled and collaborative professional who brings Blood Bank experience, sound laboratory knowledge and a strong commitment to quality service.
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant technical discipline
- Demonstrated Blood Bank laboratory experience
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and client service skills
- Able to supervise, train, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
