About the role
As a Senior Pharmacist – Infectious Diseases, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-level, patient-focused pharmacy services across the hospital. You’ll lead the organisation and operation of your designated pharmacy area, using your expert clinical knowledge and professional judgement to provide medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, medical and nursing teams, and other health professionals. Working collaboratively across the multidisciplinary team, you’ll help ensure safe, effective and evidence-based use of medicines.
You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to patient outcomes through championing antimicrobial stewardship and developing and implementing strategies that promote the best possible quality use of anti-infective agents and other pharmaceuticals. With a strong focus on safety, quality and cost-effective care, you’ll work within hospital and divisional policies, professional standards and contemporary pharmacy practice. About You
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated pharmacist who brings strong clinical expertise, leadership capability and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. You’ll be confident working independently while collaborating effectively across a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Qualified and registered: Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent, with registration or eligibility for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

Experienced clinical leader: Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, with demonstrated leadership, supervisory or management experience.

Analytical and solutions-focused: Strong research, data analysis, problem-solving and organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Collaborative educator: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead, supervise, educate and support multidisciplinary teams and drive service improvement.
