About the Role

Make a meaningful difference in rural healthcare as a Rural Generalist Physiotherapist with Country Health Connect, Limestone Coast Local Health Network.

In this diverse and rewarding role, you will deliver comprehensive, person-centred physiotherapy services to improve health outcomes, functional independence and quality of life across the Limestone Coast community.

Working with increasing clinical autonomy, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions across a broad range of clinical presentations, including preventative care, early intervention, treatment and rehabilitation. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service improvement and support the clinical development of less experienced allied health professionals, Allied Health Assistants and students.

About You

You are a motivated and adaptable physiotherapist with strong clinical reasoning, broad professional knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality rural healthcare. You work confidently with reduced clinical direction, communicate effectively with consumers and colleagues, and enjoy the variety and professional opportunities that come with rural generalist practice.

To succeed in the Rural Generalist Physiotherapist role, you will:

  • Hold a recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and be eligible for current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Hold a two-year Master's qualification with a related allied health undergraduate degree, or have at least two years' postgraduate experience, and demonstrate AHP2-level competencies.

  • Demonstrate sound clinical assessment, treatment planning, intervention and evaluation skills across a broad range of physiotherapy presentations.

  • Apply evidence-based clinical reasoning and professional judgement to deliver safe, effective and person-centred services with reduced clinical direction.

  • Demonstrate strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills, with the ability to contribute to multidisciplinary practice, clinical supervision and continuous service improvement.
