About the Role:
Join La Trobe University's vibrant academic community and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing education. As a Senior Lecturer in Nursing, you will design innovative curricula, lead impactful research, and mentor the next generation of nursing professionals. Based at our Bendigo campus, you will contribute to the academic excellence and research reputation of Australia's largest rural health school, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
  • Develop innovative curricula reflecting best practices, utilizing online and blended learning modalities.
  • Provide leadership in subject or course design and mentoring academic staff.
  • Conduct and publish high-impact research aligned with La Trobe’s themes of Healthy People, Families, and Communities.
  • Supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR), honours, and postgraduate students.
  • Foster strong relationships with industry partners to advance the nursing discipline.
  • Contribute to professional accreditation and internal course monitoring processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent accreditation and standing in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse/Dual Registered Nurse with NMBA/AHPRA.
  • Proven excellence in curriculum development, teaching, and research publication.
  • Demonstrated capacity for academic leadership and mentoring.
  • Experience liaising with external organizations and managing staff development.
