About the position

La Trobe University offers an established Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) delivered through both the La Trobe Rural Health School, on the Bendigo campus and the School of Allied Health, Human Services and Sport on the Melbourne campus. The occupational therapy discipline at the La Trobe Rural Health School is committed to increasing occupational therapy services and capacity in regional and rural areas of Australia. 

A Level B Clinical Practitioner is responsible for teaching-related duties involving the creation, delivery and content of Occupational Therapy education. This includes direct teaching informed by approaches that enhance the student experience, curriculum design and review, advancements in education technologies and involvement in the professional accreditation of courses.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • A Masters or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the Occupational Therapy discipline.
  • Registered or eligible to with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, as evidenced by sustained high results on student feedback on teaching surveys, teaching excellence awards or through other forms of evidence.
  • Relevant contemporary clinical/professional experience as relevant in occupational therapy.
