The Workforce Planner, reporting to the Workforce Senior Advisor, will support the development of rosters across The Star Sydney’s business units, ensuring alignment with the Workforce Management Governance Framework.

A few of your responsibilities  

  • Collaborate with business units to design equitable, predictable and balanced rosters using the optimised rostering tool
  • Support effective rostering aligned with operations, budgetary and compliance requirements, including enterprise agreements
  • Publish rosters in line with labour standards and demand planning principles
  • Keep stakeholders informed of changes, skill gaps and upcoming roster impacts
  • Manage pre-assignments (e.g. leave, training, special requests) according to the roster publishing schedule

What we are looking for 

  • Experience in large-scale hospitality or similar industries
  • Skilled in high-volume rostering and resourcing
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience with rostering systems
  • Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

About You

You are a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with a passion for workforce optimisation. With experience in high-volume environments—ideally within hospitality or similar industries—you bring a strong understanding of rostering systems and labour planning.

Your ability to balance operational needs with employee wellbeing sets you apart, and you’re confident navigating enterprise agreements, governance frameworks, and complex scheduling requirements.
