Due to unprecedented growth across the east coast remote sector, specifically throughout our Central QLD region, we are looking for an experienced Trades Assistant, qualified with at minimum their Cert 3 in Water Operations, to take us into our next growth phase, as we mobilise our Anglo American villages in the Middlemount, Moranbah and Moura regions.

The successful applicant will be adaptable and flexible in regard to operational requirements splitting your time across being a Trades Assistant and working in our Water Operations providing critical and timely support to our Delta FM maintenance teams in the Bowen Basin region.

The roster is 7 days on, 7 days off, working 11 hour days. Locals are encouraged to apply on a drive-in, drive-out basis, whereby accommodation and meals are provided.

The Position

• Perform non-licenced duties related to trades, such as plumbing, carpentry, air conditioning cleans, painting and maintenance
• Performing the duties of a Water Treatment Plant Operator
• Additional ad hoc tasks as required

The Person

• Minimum Cert 3 in Water Operations (mandatory)
• Open Drivers Licence and reliable transport
• Trades Assistant experience in assisting a variety of trades
• Working at Heights and Working in Confined Spaces
• EWP & Forklift License (desirable or willing to obtain)
• Computer skills are required – experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Pronto or other transferable programs
