$85K + 11.5%super 

• Iconic location – National Gallery of Victoria - Garden Restaurant 
• 7 day per week roster - required 5 days
• Opportunity to take part in the annual Gala Event

• Sous chef assisting with functions and retail operations..
• Train, develop and become part of a dynamic culinary team at the National Gallery of Victoria
• Must have Functions and a la carte restaurant background.
• In the absence of the Head Chef; oversee preparation and delivery of service
• Assist with rostering of staff and ordering of stock.
• Work with the Head Chef to evolve and innovate
• Uphold Health and safety compliance.
• 5 days over 7 days, 7am starts or late finishes around 9pm. Hours and days worked are business dependant.

THE PERSON:

• Trade qualified with a minimum 5 years of experience working in functions and events along with some fine dining.
• Well versed in HACCP and diligent in adhering to local regulations concerning health, safety and other compliance requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
• Good planning, organisational and communication skills
• Hard working with a Flexible approach and attitude
• Previous experience Cooking in a similar environment
• Team player and able to work autonomously
