- 5 days over 7, occasional weekends (work/life balance, mostly day shifts)

THE POSITION
- Chef de Partie assisting with functions and retail operations
- Train, develop and become part of a dynamic culinary team at the National Gallery of Victoria
- Opportunity to take part in the annual Gala Event.
- Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are met.
- Assist Head Chef with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies are available for expected service.
- Provide training and education to staff to ensure our team are constantly upskilling.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
- Liaise with functions team (front & back of house) regarding allergens and dietary information requirements.
THE PERSON
- Trade qualified with a minimum 5 years of experience working in functions and events along with some fine dining.
- Well versed in HACCP and diligent in adhering to local regulations concerning health, safety and other compliance requirements.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including week-ends, nights and public holidays.
- Strong attention and respect for OH&S, Food Safety & HACCP regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Team player and able to work autonomously
