Functions Supervisor 

$75K + 12% Superannuation

The Position

We are currently on the hunt for a passionate Functions Supervisor to join our expanding catering operations at our beloved ‘Churchie’ commencing immediately on a Full-Time basis. As the Function Supervisor, you'll know everything there is to know about creating amazing function experiences and assisting in a tight commercial operation. You will be hands on in your role and thoroughly enjoy the challenge of executing outstanding events.

Key duties

  • Collaborate with the Unit Manager & Head Chef to ensure flawless function delivery
  • Lead and coordinate a small, dedicated team as well as coordinating agency staff.
  • Manage bump-in and bump-out for a broad range of on-campus functions.
  • Uphold the highest standards of service and presentation for every function
  • Support smooth operation across cocktail events, formal dinners, bar service, and more

 The Person

  • Driven and looking for that next step in your career
  • Proven experience in a function environment serving plated dinners, cocktail events, and bar operations, as well as logistics and operations.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritisation skills and good verbal and written communication
  • Skilled at building effective relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and at all organisational levels
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and engagement
  • Have hold a valid Blue Card or have the ability to obtain
  • RSA certification required
