THE POSITION

• Support the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and wellbeing programs across the hospital.
• Collaborate with department leads to ensure safety procedures are embedded into daily operations.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Lead incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives.

THE PERSON

• Proven experience in a health and safety role within a complex or high-risk environment (healthcare, construction, facilities, etc.).
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, compliance requirements, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience conducting audits, site inspections, and hazard identification processes.
• Familiarity with safety management systems and reporting tools (e.g., RiskMan, Vault, or similar).
• Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety (e.g., Cert IV or Diploma WHS, or equivalent).
