Muster Room & Check In Support

The Position: 

  • Welcome and check in event staff, suppliers, and contractors with a professional and efficient approach 

  • Accurately verify credentials and distribute uniforms, accreditation, and shift materials 

  • Ensure smooth flow and organisation within the muster room and check-in areas 

  • Provide clear directions and support to event personnel 

  • Maintain accurate records and follow check-in/check-out procedures 

  • Liaise with team leaders and supervisors to manage any late arrivals or rostering changes 

  • Monitor and manage supplies for check-in stations and muster areas and manage cloak room areas for guests or staff, ensuring items are safely stored and retrieved 

 

The Person: 

  • Previous experience in customer service, front desk, event operations, or guest services preferred 

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills 

  • Are confident using checklists, simple digital systems, and radios (training provided) 

  • Calm and efficient under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules and can commit to at least 10 days of availability across the tournament dates 

  • A team player with a proactive and positive attitude

Shortlisted candidates must be available to complete an online HireVue assessment throughout September. Alternatively, there will be limited in-person interview sessions onsite at Melbourne Park.

All Australian Open roles are casual contracts that will commence Monday 6th October unless otherwise communicated. Shifts may be rostered across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays and paid in accordance with the Hospitality Industry Award. All onboarding and training will be provided prior to commencement.
