THE POSITION

  • The role will operate primarily from the Frankston Hospital site.
  • Manage security services at multiple satellite health sites (including Rosebud Hospital and other healthcare sites), and subcontracted security services for after hours and off-site patrolling.
  • During mobilization you will be involved in project management and on time delivery, responsible for building work procedures, documentation, processes and training program as well us setting up our teams.
  • Provide strategic oversight to all Security operations including interfacing and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor, review and report on Security operations including confirming operational requirements, managing workflow, developing and updating security procedures and manuals.
  • Have a visible presence at the Hospital and be highly accessible to security staff and Hospital representatives.
  • Advise the Hospital on Security-related risks.
  • Attend relevant meetings and control/governance groups.
  • Lead a large Security Team and manage performance, modelling high standards of behaviour.
  • Be heavily involved in the training of security staff and clinical staff that have incident response responsibilities.
  • Oversee employee training and development including mentoring of new staff and monthly toolbox meetings.

 

THE PERSON

  • Experience within a management or supervisory position.
  • Previous experience in performance and talent management critical for success.
  • Experience managing subcontracted and remote/roving services and patrols.
  • Working knowledge of the clinical or medical industry highly desirable.
  • Detailed understanding of Prevention and Management of Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA).
  • Thorough understanding of and commitment to occupational health and safety, infection control, environmental and human resource requirements; and ability to promote and ensure compliance in the workplace.
  • Sound computer skills.
  • Relevant security licences.
  • First aid certificate.
  • Drivers licence.
  • Hospital required vaccinations.
  • Experience within a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
